Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

1. Scope

This policy covers information collected through mattmcnutttherapy.com. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices; if you become a client, how I handle your clinical records is described in the Notice of Privacy Practices and consent forms you receive at intake.

2. Information I collect

Information you give me: name, email, phone and message when you use the contact form, email me, or book a consultation through Calendly.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring page, through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Please do not send sensitive health information through the site

The contact form and email are not secure channels. Share clinical details only in a session or through my secure client portal after intake.

4. How I use information

To respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, operate and improve the site, and understand site traffic and the performance of my advertising. I do not sell your personal information.

5. Service providers who process data

Squarespace (website hosting and forms), Calendly (consultation scheduling), Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, for site analytics and ad measurement), Headway (insurance enrollment and billing, for clients) and SimplePractice (practice management and telehealth, for clients). These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

6. Cookies and advertising

I use cookies and similar technologies for site function, analytics (Google Analytics, Squarespace Analytics) and to measure the performance of my advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use Google’s ad-settings tools to limit ad personalization.

7. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may request to know what personal information I hold about you, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. I do not sell personal information. I will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Oregon privacy rights

If you are an Oregon resident, you may have rights to confirm and access personal data, correct and delete it, obtain a copy, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. To make a request, contact me using the details below.

9. Retention and security

I keep website inquiries only as long as needed to respond and for legitimate business and legal reasons. I use reasonable safeguards, but no online transmission is completely secure.

10. Adults only

The site and my services are for adults 18 and over. I do not knowingly collect information from minors.

11. In an emergency

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911. I do not monitor messages in real time.

12. Changes and contact

I may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. To make a privacy request or ask a question, contact mattmcnuttlmft@gmail.com or (805) 410-4355.
